LN9Z will participate in the WAE DX Contest the 12th and 13th September.

It will be exciting to use the new 5 element 20m monobander in a serious effort.  First tests in the All Asian SSB weekend, when the antenna was put up, indicate that the antenna works fine.  The first short CQ Contest call resulted in a continous pile-up yielding 80 Asian stations within 40 minutes.

We expect to operate all bands in the WAE DX Contest, but obviously with main effort on 20m.

Pretty bad conditions, with Au above 5 for most of the contest. A relief though to experience the new 5 element 20 meter beam working very well!
