A new antenna is under construction. An Optibeam OB5-20 will be erected this summer. The antenna assembly work was started today.
The Optibeam OB5-20 is a 5 element OWA design. The boom length is 15 meter and the antenna has a gain of 8.5 dBd. The antenna will be put up on an 18 meter tilt-up/crank-up tower provided by Ronny/LA3ZPA. We are anxious if the beam will withstand our severe wind conditions.
