QSOs = 1021
State/Prov = 14

Claimed Score = 418,158

What an experience! I had never done any serious 160 meter contest before, and certainly not on SSB. Didn't know what to expect, but had a high goal of 600 QSO's, and would be happy if I reached 500.

Passing the 1k mark was not even in my dreams! A special 'thank you' to the endless stream of German stations. Without them, the activity would have been much slower!

For the first contest in some time, the southern part of Norway was NOT covered by the Aurora. The Aurora Activity Level (AAL) reached 8 a few times, but mostly stayed in the area of 2 to 4. And everything below 5 seems to give very low signal degrations.

So condx were good, and 56 DX QSOs were made. All continetns except Oceania was worked. Except XE, I worked all the mults I heard. But I listened too little around for mult - I was afraid of loosing my running frq. It was very hard to find a new one.

In the same way as I was bothered during the entire contest with QRM from stations starting running too close to my frequency, I am sure I stepped on some toes every time I found a new running frq. I always tried to find a 'free' frequency, and I always thought I did. But since there is no thing as a 'free' frequency in such a contest, I possibly QRMed someone I didn't hear. I am sorry for that, but that is how it works.
