What a bummer.

The antenna broke down again!

With AAL (Aurora Activity Level) at 6 to 7 when the contest started indicated that this would be a new tough one. Quite a few stations heard tough, but hard to get through.

So, at 02.30z Saturday morning, just as the AAL began to decrase, and the signals where picking up, the antenna broke down!

We have two inverted Ls, one for 80 meter and one for 160. The two horisontal wires of the antennas are pointing towards each other, with a rope in between. And this rope broke.

It's an easy fix, but it requires two persons, and since I was alone at the station, I just pulled the big switch.

The antennas will hopefully be fixed next weekend.
