Welcome to Leia Contest Club |
As an offspring of LA Contest Club (LACC), Leia Contest Club was established in 2005 by Roy LA5KO and Jan LB1G. A club call (LA9Z) was obtained, and a QTH was aquired early 2006.
The club was first aired in ARRL DX Contest CW 2006, with 100W and a temporary W3DZZ antenna. Since then, most major contests have be operated with LA9Z or LN9Z. The long term plan, as workload and money permit, is a major contest station with multi-multi capabilities and ability to compete in WW top 5 - when our northern propagations (Aurora) allow us. We are committed to obey to contest rules and we support FAIR PLAY CONTESTING. |

LN9Z, with LA5KO as operator, worked 1831 QSOs in 61 states / provinces to yield 335,073 points on SOSB 20 meter in this year's ARRL DX SSB contest. This is once again new LA record with good margin. Jan LB1G used LA9Z in a casual effort and worked 249 QSOs on 80 meter. |

LN9Z, with LB1G as operator, worked 1377 QSOs in 59 states / provinces to yield 243,729 points on SOSB 20 meter in this year's ARRL DX CW contest. This is another new LA record with good margin. I think we can conclude that the Optibeam OB5-20 works well ! |

LN9Z, with Chris LA8OM as operator for the first time, worked 1777 QSOs and 495,176 points on SOSB 20 meter in the CQ WW DX CW contest. This is new LA record with good margin. Jan LB1G used LA9Z and worked 2127 QSOs and 380,664 points on SOSB 40 meter. This was not enough to beat LA1EE's 19 year old record. Thank you all for working us in the contest, and we look forward to work you again. |
